Status: a domain with big ideas

Scan things.
Win things.
Probably.

qr.bingo is bingo where the numbers are hidden in the real world. Print codes, stick them on stuff, and let people hunt. Pub, office, festival, wedding, museum, that one weird conference.

Full disclosure: it doesn't exist yet. Right now it's a very good domain name and one extremely enthusiastic landing page. You're looking at it.

↑ not a real QR code · scanning it achieves nothing · we admire the effort

The clear signals

Three things we're fairly confident about

Everything else is negotiable, and honestly kind of up to you.

You get a card

5×5, generated per player, no two the same. Works on any phone with a camera and a browser. No app. Never an app. We promise.

You scan the world

Codes go on posters, coasters, name badges, exhibits, or — a genuine suggestion we received — cows. Each scan daubs a square.

Someone yells BINGO

Five in a row and the room finds out. Live leaderboard, confetti, mild social embarrassment for the winner. The good stuff.

Interactive bit

What should qr.bingo actually be?

Every square is a real idea someone has pitched us. The board daubs itself because it got impatient. Click squares to vote with your fingertips — it changes nothing, but it feels great.

Not on the board?

Good. The board is 25 squares and the world is bigger than that. If you've got a place where a few hundred people need something to do with their hands, we want to hear it.

We're especially interested in:

  • Events with more downtime than anyone admits
  • Spaces people wander through alone and shouldn't
  • Onboarding that currently involves a PDF
  • Literally any excuse to print stickers

Radical transparency

Where this actually stands

No fake countdown timer. No "join 12,000 others on the waitlist." Here's the truth.

Bought the domain done

Took roughly eleven seconds. Best decision of the quarter.

Told people the name done

Reactions ranged from "oh that's good" to "wait, what is it?" Fair.

Working out what it is you are here

This page. Collecting ideas, use cases, and strong opinions from people like you.

Build the thing

Generate cards, print code sheets, scan, daub, shout. Smallest version that's genuinely fun.

First real game, first real room

Somewhere with bad acoustics and good snacks. If that's your venue, say hello.

One clear call to action

Give us a shout. That's the whole funnel.

No form, no cookie wall, no newsletter you'll regret. One inbox, read by an actual human who is trying very hard to make a domain name into a real thing.
